Goodbye Social Life, You Will Be Missed...
/As many of you know, Civilization V was released today. Being a huge fa
Just one more turn...n of the Civilization series, I purchased Civ V off Steam right away. After putting a few hours into the game, I'm here tonight to say goodbye to my social life for awhile. Civ V improves on everything in Civilization IV and is much more user friendly than the previous entries. New comers and veterans alike will absolutely fall in love with this turn based strategy game. You will definitely be at you computer until the wee hours telling yourself, "Just one more turn..." Now if you'll excuse me, I must go back to expanding my civilization and yes I am simply Alt+Tab right now to write this quick update.

Professor Layton - Third installment for DS released!
/
Cover box art for the third installment of the seriesI don't know how in the world I missed this one! Apparently on September 12th the third installment of Professor Layton series, the Unwound Future was released in the United States market. I really enjoyed the first two installments of the series and had heard that there were more games in the series but hadn't heard any news about the next release. Color me surprised when I just learned today that the next one had come out and I totally missed it! Guess this one will be going on my wish list for Christmas this year. You can check out IGN's review of the game here. Sounds like it's another solid entry into the series. Can't wait to get ahold of it some time soon!
Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks-DS Review
/
Zelda with Link riding the Spirit TrainI wish I had started playing this game sooner! A review on the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS. I had received this game from IrishPride for Christmas, but since I was still abroad at the time and coming home in about 5 months, we decided that I would just get the game when I finally got State side.
Well I got State side, got the game and then let it set for the past 3 months on my nightstand. I finally decided that I really should play the game and see what it was all about and I'm very glad I did. As I stated before I should have started this game when I first got it! I'm over half way as far as general game play is concerned and I can't wait to finish it.
So this is a game that has me enthralled and wanting to complete it which is something that has happened for awhile, so I insist on you checking it out!
Dear BioWare...
/Dear BioWare,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and good spirits! I have a favor to ask of you, in fact, humanity has a favor to ask of you. If you could please release Mass Effect 3 tomorrow, we would all be ecstatic and very grateful. In fact, it would even be better if you realeased it yesterday. We need to finish off the Reapers once and for all! Please BioWare, release Mass Effect 3 now!!!
Love,
IrishPride
P.S. Pretty, pretty, pretty please!!!
NDK - Attendee Interview
/Here is another interview we did with one of the attendees and her friend at NDK. We transcribed this interview since we did the interview in the hotel cafe and wanted to spare you all from the cappuccion machine background noise.
Carebear: Ok, my first question how long have you been coming to NDK?
Lynnette: I have actually been coming for a total of 10 years. So I started in 2000 and it is now 2010.
Carebear: How about you Josh?
Josh: I am hitting the 11 year mark; yeah I'm old.
Carebear: Wow cool.
Josh: Yeah, I'm old (laugh).
Carebear: Do you remember your first impressions?
Lynnette: Well goodness, I was 14 at that time so a lot of it was just really busy, but at the same time everything was really organized. Um, But I kinda enjoyed it because there were so many people and it was just a nice warm feeling around the entire place where you could just walk up to someone and say "YOUR COSTUME IS AWESOME" and they would would be like "Thank you" (insert cute sugary voice here) and you would be in a good mood. I enjoyed it and being 14 it was comfortable for me.
