It all started as a simple midi track. Then it evolved, it became an integral part of the game, and now you can get fully developed soundtracks for games that involve several disks. To not acknowledge that is to do the music injustice. Our nominees for best soundtrack are:

It is you versus the world/galaxy/universe. You have to use what you have been given to build an army and find victory. The strategy game is another excellent genre to exercise the mind, and a true time sink if it is a good game. Our nominees this year are:

The brain is an important tool, and like all tools it must be kept sharp and ready for action. Puzzle games are a great way to do this, and puzzle games are a fun way to do this. But some puzzle games are better then others, and here ware the ones that stood out the most for us:

The RPG, this is one of my favorite game genres. To me it embodies taking on the role of a character and truly making them your own. This year we selected the following games as our nominees for Best RPG of 2011:

Cars, they have been around for 100+ years, and as such we usually see a plethora of games on the subject. This also means that usually most of them are complete crap. Lets look at the few games that we felt stuck out above the rest.
