I may be getting older. Convention recovery has moved from a one day affair to an almost week long malaise. I'm finally getting back into the normal routine of life and work now. I'm going to do a write up on Colorado Anime Fest soon. Later, I'll start editing the podcasts in order to post them starting next week. For now, let's talk about what I've been doing in my recovery free time.
Read MoreIt's going to be a short post this week, as I'm heading to Colorado Anime Fest today. If you have some free time this weekend, head on over to spend some time with other anime geeks. The weekend was a lot of fun last year, and they have a cool slate of guests this year.
Read MoreWe are now less than a week out from Colorado Anime Fest, as Chris pointed out earlier this week. Crystal will have a table and be selling lots of great art work, which I will encourage all attendees to check out. Meanwhile, I've spent most of my weeknights watching anime that was formerly secured behind the Anime Strike paywall. Apart from that, I've spent a lot of time working in my garden, getting ready for the growing season. But, I'm sure most of you aren't super interested in yard chores. Let's talk about anime instead.
Read MoreIt is almost mid-March, and that means con season is starting to swing up for the year! The first convention that we are going to be attending this year is Colorado Anime Fest now in it's third year. Being held between March 23 - 25 at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel (same location as previous years) has 7 guests this year, plus the boat load of content that continues to expand each year.
Read MoreThis was a really busy week with the Colorado Caucuses, but now that one major time commitment is out of my life, I can have a lot more time to have fun again. So, that's meant that I have more time to catch up on anime and make progress with my Diablo III seasonal character. So, let's talk about some stuff.
Read MoreHello and welcome to another week of travel for me, with only a minor amount of geeky activity. Also, I spent most of last weekend trying to get over a serious cold. What does that mean for my geeky activities? Well, I pretty much limited myself to a few minutes of video gaming on the weekend, but haven't had a chance to catch up on the seasonal anime for this week.
Read MoreEverything was going along swimmingly, until I got sick this week. Before that, I spent a lot of time playing Diablo III before that. I also had a couple of long days in the field this week. Given my current level of fatigue, I'm going to keep the post short this week.
Read MoreThis has been the week of watching ReCreators. I'm almost finished with the series (only 2 episodes left), and I think we should talk about it a bit. If you are unfamiliar with the series, the main premise is that characters from various popular media (anime, manga, and video games primarily) are pulled into our world by another character who has nefarious motives. Although you won't find a point by point summary, I'm going to talk candidly about the plot below the fold, so if you want to enjoy the series with fresh eyes, now is the time to steer away.
Read MoreThis has been a busy week. Meetings on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and homework that I had to complete on Wednesday night. Amidst all that, I was able to find some time to enjoy myself this week as well. Not much time for video games other than getting a bit obsessed about the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp event. Gotta get all the gothic gear! But that's not what you came here to hear about. Instead, lets talk about some anime.
