Why Not the USA?

So Nintendo of Europe made an awesome announcement today.  As of Novmber 25th 2011 you will be able to get a special limited edition The Legend of Zelda 3DS bundle that comes with Ocarina of Time to celebrate 25 years of Zelda.  Here is what it looks like:

So this leaves me with one, and only one question. Are people here in the US going to have to import this thing or will we get it here? As of yet, the import is your only option as there as been no annoucement on a US version. Fingers crossed that we hear something on a US version of this soon. Press release follows.

MW3 Releases

So I am in the 1%. No, not the financial 1%, that would be nice, but no.  I am in the 1% of people that are not super excited about Modern Warfare 3 coming out tonight at midnight.  But that does not mean that I don't respect the fandom.  I went to a GameStop by my work to take care of a preorder and found a line of 6 people.  This was A) 3:00 PM and the events for the night did not start until around 10:00 PM and B) It was about 45˚ F and dropping to an estimated 26˚F by midnight.  To me this a a great devotion of the fandom to the series and something that shows what it means to be true hardcore gamer.

So while I may not be playing the game tonight or tomorrow, I do salute you Moder Warefare 3 gamer. You are a true gamer and you help keep this industry alive so I may play the games I am looking forward to. GAME ON!

PS. Don't forget your Mountain Dew codes.  You will need the extra XP.

"To Zanarkand" from FFX performed by IrishPride

Hey everybody!  This is my first attempt to play an actual song on the piano and it happens to be the beautiful song from Final Fantasy X, "To Zanarkand."  I recorded this on a better device so I'm going to remove the old video.  If you didn't see the old video and this is your first time watching, I hope you enjoy it!

Game Over: Warhammer 40K Space Marine

The Orks have been defeated and Chaos has been pushed back.  The Imperium of Man has saved the Forge World Graia, but at what cost?  In this edition of Game Over we will look at the ending of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine and what I thought of it.  So if you are still fighting the good fight, come back later. Otherwise you can continue to read this after the jump.

Conversations with IrishPride Episode 11

It's 2:00pm, You Know What the Means!

Hello!  Welcome to episode 11 of Conversations with IrishPride.  It's been another crazy week for me with little video games that I have played, but that's okay, I'm still here to ramble about stuff!

Today I'm going to talk about the importance of naps.  Growing up, we all had the pleasure of nap time in preschool and kindergarten.  But after that, the world told us NO, you cannot have nap time in the middle of the day.  My question for everyone is, why the hell not!  Whoever implemented the afternoon nap in school was really onto something and I believe we have to implement the afternoon nap in all of our adult lives.Who wouldn't want this?

Here me out.  We all have days where we feel like we can't continue.  2:00pm rolls around and you can barely keep your eyes open.  Your eyes hurt, your irritable and you snap at people.  It's a bad situation for everyone involved.  But, if we had our afternoon nap, everyone would feel better.  You would feel energized and refreshed.  Your eyes would sparkle in rejoice, you would tell people hi and your co-workers won't hate you...as much.  If we could only have our afternoon naps like before; people (including yourself) would be so much happier!  Who doesn't love a good twenty minute power nap in the middle of the afternoon!?!  So let's start a revolution.  When you're at work and 2:00pm hits (or a good afternoon time for your own personal work schedule), go take a nap!  Let's go back to our kindergarten days and have nap time.  We all want it, we all could use it and the world would be a better place.

This is IrishPride signing out and until next time, nappers unite!
