Google Zergs Their Page

Play much StarCraft in your time? I expect that answer to be yes, and that means at one point or another, you were the victim of a zerg rush. Well now you can relive those memories thanks to Google. Just go to Google.com and search for Zerg Rush. You will be attacked by red and yellow "o"'s that will destroy your search results. They will come from all over the screen and the only way to stop them is to click on them before they destroy the page. Good luck brave warrior.

And yes, I know Zerg should not be a verb, deal with it.

This Weeks Geek - The First

A few months ago I got out of a long relationship. It had been pretty exclusive for about 5 years when I started to waiver. The relationship started going on and off and I started seeing others. Finally, after 7 years I broke it off and canceled my World of Warcraft subscription.  WoW was my first MMO, and as such I was a bit infatuated with it. That has now passed and I am with SWTOR, and while I am enjoying it, it is not the same as my first.

This Week(ends) Geek - Your Legacy

This Weeks Geek - Blood From a Stone

Established series, they are the life blood of many industries. They give companies a reliable way to make a profit while they experiment with on different products. Without a good series many companies would have gone under long before their time. Done right a series can endear itself to generations and bring up fond memories in conversation. Too bad it is rarely done right. Investors want to know they will get a decent return on their investments. They will happily beat a series to death just to resurrect it and beat it again.

Mass Effect 3 Gets Extended Ending

The geeks have whined, bitched, and moaned. Now they get to see the fruits of their labor. EA and Bioware are releasing free DLC that will expand (read: not change) the ending to the epic that is Mass Effect 3. The DLC will add extra cinematic scenes as an epilogue to the game. BioWare believes that this will strike a nice balance between between answering the fans questions and maintaining the artistic vision of Casey Hudson and his team.

Look forward to downloading the DLC on all three platforms (PC, 360, and PS3) some time this summer. And while they have it marked as expiring on 04/12/2014 they do plan on keeping it free and availble as long as they can, but they add expiration dates to all free content.

Skyrim and LotR Violin Videos

It would appear that I am on a music video kick this week. Does everyone remember the Zelda violinist that I posted sometime ago? If not it was done by Lindsey Stirling. Well it appears she has been busy and has since created two other videos.  Once for Lord of the Rings and one for Skyrim.  Both of these are pretty good and the Skyrim video proves that the violin is mightier then the sword.
