Hitman - The Kill

So the name of the game is assassination. But how does one go about it? Are you stealthy? Do you aim at just one target? Do you use the environment to do your dirty work? Or do you go all out with guns and explosives? Lets see how what Agent 47 thinks?

Intrigued? The wait is almost over as Hitman Absolution hits stores November 20, 2012.

Assassin's Creed Season Pass

This has nothing to do with the DLC. I just liked the shot.Ubisoft has announced that you can get all 5 DLC packs that will come out for Assassin's Creed III as they come out for one cost of $29.99 (2400 MS Points). The season pass will come out within 6 months of the game coming out and will give people a saving of 25% on the DLC packs (assuming you buy all 5) and, this is the cool(ish) part, you get the DLC a week before non-season pass owners. This means you get a chance of bragging rights on beating the new DLC before your friends get a chance to even play it.

So what do they plant to do with this DLC? Well for the first one they are doing a "what if" model. A quick quote from the press release:

“History is our playground – and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”

To show this off the first DLC is titled "The Tyranny of King George". In it George Washington looks at the newly freed colonies. People love him and want him to rule. In this reality he take the over to live as king, and the power goes to his head. Now Conner must fight a man he once called friend to end the new tyranny.

So what do you think? Do you like the idea of this sort of "What If" DLC? Also what d you think about this continued use of a season pass?

Command & Conquer - One for All

Seventeen years ago the very first Command & Conquer game was released. Since then there have been a number of games released in this series. If you purchased each of these games as they came out, then most likely you cannot play them on your current generation computer, especially if you try to play them over a network. Well EA has done us all a favor. Not only have they updated the games for Windows 7 / Windows Vista, but they have bound them all together in the Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection. This collection includes the following series and games:

NDK - Ten Must See Streaming Anime

A short update for this one. I attended a panel led by Jason Moses of Otaku-USA magazine. To open the panel, Jason described the major services available for watching streaming anime. The big three services are Hulu, Netflix, and Crunchyroll. Of these, Jason recommended Hulu as the service with the best variety of shows. He also noted that last year, Netflix had a very strong selection of anime available. However, the selection on Netflix has been reduced lately. Finally, he discussed and showed short clips for ten shows that he recommended watching. Here are the shows that he recommended watching along with a brief synopsis.

NDK - Additional Panels

To wrap up my NDK Sweet 16 experience, I'll be discussing a bit about some of the other panels I got to see this past year. There were a lot of panels to choose from this year, but of course with limited time frames, other panels occurring at the same time, interviews, eating, etc, there's no way I could get to all I wanted. That's okay though as I felt that the panels I did attend were interesting and had a good time at them.

Borderlands 2 Review

Shoot.  Loot.  Repeat.

After playing the crap out of the original Borderlands, I have been anxiously waiting to get back to the world of Pandora.  Gearbox and 2K Games have created a sequel in a way sequel's are supposed to be made, it's better.  Borderlands 2 improves in every aspect over its predecessor making it a truly enjoyable experience.  Fans of the original will no doubt want to check out the sequel.  If you never played the original Borderlands, that is okay, you can still jump in with two feet.  If you are a fan of shooters and loot driven games, do yourself a favor and buy Borderlands 2, you will not be disappointed.
