Watch Dogs 101

It has been a long (very long) wait, but Watch Dogs is almost upon us (May 27th on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC). As such Ubisoft has been releasing new trailer upon new trailer. To make up for my lack of posting them, here is a play list of all the Watch Dogs trailers, starting with the most recent, Watch Dogs - 101 Trailer_.

Gold no Longer Needed for Netflix and Hulu on Xbox

Netflix and Hulu have become staples in the living room. You are almost expected to have a device of some sort that can access the vast libraries of entertainment they have, and for some time the easiest way to access them were the game consoles that most of us gamers own. But there was always a downside. If you had an Xbox you had to have the gold level of Xbox Live to access the services you already paid for. Kind of lame when you consider the fact that you have never need to pay extra if you have a PlayStation 3 or 4, AppleTV, ChromeCast, or any other number of devices capable of streaming. But that is changing, all for the better.

Weta comes to Denver Comic Con

image001.jpg

There are two things that comes to a persons mind when you say Weta. One of them is a bug that can be found in new Zealand and the other is the group that made props for great movies such as The Lord of Rings, The Hobbit and Avatar. One of the biggest differences that these two will have this June is that one of them will be found in the Colorado Convention Center.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been invited by the organizers and we've been eagerly packing cool stuff from Middle-earth and beyond onto trucks and into planes to have a great range available to purchase at the Weta booth,” said Stacy Longstreet, expedition leader for Weta’s contingent at the show. “It’s our first time in Denver as well as our first US show this year and we’re really looking forward to meeting fans and making friends in Colorado.”

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to meet the artists and craftsman who create some of Weta's amazing props. You can even purchase some of these great items as Weta will come loaded with limited-edition collectibles, prop replicas, art prints, jewelry, clothing and merchandise from the movies that will be on display and available to purchase at the booth. If you want to know more about Weta before they get here head to www.wetaNZ.com

StarFest 2014

StarFest 2014

Despite having been been around since 1977 (5 years before I was even born) I somehow had never been to StarFest here in Denver. Well this year I decided to right this wrong and took time to visit this grand convention of not just science fiction geekery, but geekery of all kinds. I didn't have the time to immerse myself in the convention the way I would have liked to, but it did allow me to talk to, and witness, a geek culture I honestly didn't know much about; the LARPer (Live Action Role Play).

Review: South Park: The Stick of Truth

There is nothing like a small mountain town. They are peaceful, out of the way locals that are great for raising a family where nothing much really happens. Unless you happen to be in South Park, CO. Here anything goes and may be considered normal. So it may be a little odd to move to this supposedly peaceful town. And if you are a kid, well good luck.

Welcome to South Park

Greetings new kid, your family has just moved you to the town of South Park, CO to start over. Why do they need to start over?
