The Professional Gamer - October 4, 2013

Hello Readers!  I didn't manage to read anything this week, but I did manage to spend a fair amount of time gaming and watching anime.  Read on to find out how my week went.

Watching:

ZeldaQueen is making me watch Attack on Titan.  I say "making" only is so much as she is forcing me to take some time for it.  So far, I've watched only three episodes, but am enjoying it.  As I get further in, I will post some additional thoughts and speculation about the plot.  For now, I am content to watch the series, and dread the inevitable character deaths that are likely to occur.

Playing:

We are continuing our play through of Torchlight 2.  At this point, I have to laugh because Act 2 of this game is a desert.  Just the same as Act 2 of Diablo 2 and 3 and Super Mario Bros. 3.  I'm not sure if this is a more general trope, but it was funny to ZeldaQueen and I while we were playing.  The game is still fun, especially now that new features such as the Alchemist (who can transmute items) and the gambling vendor are available.

I also downloaded Pocket Trains, which may have been a mistake.  The game is fun, but I can see myself wasting an awful lot of time with it when I could be doing much more productive (or even more fun) things.

Reading:

As I stated in the introduction, I have not had spare time for reading this week.  I will endeavour to find some reading material this week, so that I have something more to post about.

That's all for this week.  Join me again next Friday for another weekly update of the Professional Gamer.
