The Professional Gamer - January 14, 2014

Hi everyone! This week has seen further enjoyment of Christmas presents, although not much of it has been gaming. Read on for the full story.

Watching:

ZeldaQueen and I have only two more episodes of Avatar to watch. Despite what I wrote last week, I can't believe how quickly we've moved through the series. I am still impressed with the depth of emotion in the show. Avatar is likely the best animated series of at least the past decade.

Playing:

Since this week has largely revolved around watching Avatar, I have not spent much time playing with my 3DS. Time with the 3DS has been limited to playing with the StreetPass functionality. Made is through FindMe the first time, and now trying to make it through a second time with only a very few heroes.

Reading:

After finishing The Gospel According to Tolkien, I decided to take some time off from serious reading, and have a look through -100 Years of Menswear. It was interesting to watch the evolution of men's style from the formality of morning and evening dress all the way though to the punk movement of the 1970s and beyond. This week, I'll start reading Zealot, and report back with my first impressions next week.

That's all for this week. Join me again next Friday for another weekly update of the Professional Gamer.
