The Professional Gamer - December 5, 2016

Hello readers! Another week has gone by and I've spent some time with video games, anime, and reading. This week has also marked the first cold and snowy day of this winter that I've been able to stay at home and enjoy a fire. Now, what have exactly have I been up to this week? Read on to fine out.

First, let's talk a little bit about what I've been reading lately. Some time ago, I starting reading a book called The High Cost of Free Parking, which discusses how the costs of providing free parking are distributed to everyone except for drivers and how the parking policies of American cities have driven low-density, automobile-centric development. I had borrowed the book from the library (via interloan even) and it came due prior to me having a chance to finish it. I've checked it out again, but it's been so long since my last attempt to read it that I'm starting over. I'm hoping that I can get through it in one go this time around. So, wish me luck.

Next up is anime. Really, the only thing that I've made a point of watching this past week is Yuri!! on Ice. I feel like I don't have a lot to add to my own previous commentary and commentary and criticism by so many others. Again, this is a great series and I will continue to encourage everyone to watch it.

Finally, let's talk about video games for a bit. I didn't have a lot of time this past week to play Elite: Dangerous, but I did spend a little bit of time playing Stardew Valley. I'm having fun trying to grow crops and fish. Blah, fishing is still very frustrating for me. It's probably the only mechanic that I would like to see changed in the game.

That's all I've got for now. Have a great week and game on!
