Denver Comic Con Beer Debuts Tomorrow!
/Do you like beer? Do you like geeky things? Do you like live music? Then do I have the event for you! Tomorrow at Stoney's Bar and Grill Denver Comic Con is going to debut this years beer, Snape-ricot! Yes the winning name and excellent pun based name for an apricot beer is also going to honor Alan Rickman with how he masterfully brought Snape to life on the silver screen. Go for the popular vote! Ryan Workman, Breckenridge Brewery Brand Manager, is pretty happy and could not have thought of a better name.
"The apricot our brewers added to their American lager recipe produced surprising ambiguity, much like Snape himself. It's pale and crisp, but spend a little time with it, and you'll find unexpected layers of interesting personality." Finding more parallels in Snape and Snape-ricot, he shares that the beer is "bitter and cold, yet the fruit magically transforms Snape-ricot into something not sweet, but certainly a little softer than one would've imagined."
The event starts at 7:30 PM but I would show up early. The first 200 orders of the Snape-ricot will get a free pint pint glass to commemorate the beer, and then you can get it signed by the artist, Frankie Serna. Should you be the 201st person, you can still get the pint glass at Denver Comic Con. For you music fans the Gin Doctors and Red 5 will be providing live music for the event.
