I've come to the end of another week, but feel like I haven't done very much for fun or for myself. I had some drama at work, not really related to me, just some stuff that's happened to other people around me. It affects me somewhat, in terms of my workload. The bigger issue is just feeling really bad about what happened, and I'm just emotionally drained. On top of working on some political stuff, I didn't have a lot of energy left for geeky activities. Let's talk about what I did do this week.

I continued my playthrough of Breath of the Wild last weekend. I made it through Divine Beast Vah Ruta in one sitting. Having looked up boss fight strategy for Crystal earlier, I was ready for the fight with Waterblight Ganon. Vah Ruta was the first Divine Beast that Crystal went through as well, so I hadn't seen the inside of it or the puzzles for a long time. Nonetheless, I remembered a fair number of things that helped me come to the solutions without a lot of work and experimentation.

The work drama happened on Monday and Tuesday, leaving me emotionally drained for the rest of the week. I didn't feel like putting up the effort to play any video games, so instead, I spent most of the evenings watching YouTube. Spike Trotman (@iron_spike), mentioned a channel called "How to Make Everything", and it has been my life this past week. I am equal parts enthralled and enraged by the host. On some episodes, he spends a lot of time working with experts who know a lot about handicrafts. But on other (I presume older) episodes, he just seems to be winging it. And just struggling so much. I did end up yelling at the TV during the bread episode. But, the candy and book making episodes are great.

That's all I managed to do during the past week. I think I'll be in less of a funk after a few more days. I'm planning to go see The Night is Short, Walk on Girl and report back on it next Friday. For now, have a great week, and game on!
