PlayStation Now Becomes Useful

PlayStation Now Becomes Useful

PlayStation Now is a pretty cool idea. 100's of PS3 games that you can stream to play over your PS4. While it is not true backwards compatibility it is pretty close, and if you never actually owned the games you could just play them from here. Downside is that it was super expensive comparatively to actually play the games. But that will soon no longer be a problem. Starting on 01/13/2015 you can subscribe to the service for $19.99 one month at a time or 3 months for $44.99 ($15.00 / month) for unlimited play of the entire catalog.

The Order: 1886 - Trailer

At the E3 2013 Sony Press conference there was a trailer that showed, what I believe to have been, werewolves attacking an armed carriage. Well I have not seen much since then, and today I notice there is a new trailer. It talks about the The Orders' age (a bit) and its long standing mission. It talks about the new world and challenges it finds itself it. I could go on, but why? Here is the trailer. Enjoy.

inFAMOUS Second Son - Neon Preview

So I am a big can of the inFAMOUS games, and as such I feel that I have been neglecting news on Second Son.  It comes out in just under a month for the PS4. And we have mostly seen the cool smoke / fire powers that our protagonist, Delsin Rowe, has. But what is a good inFAMOUS game without options. And with that in mind they have provided us the Neon power. And it looks amazing.

Review - Need for Speed Rivals

Review - Need for Speed Rivals

Do you feel the need? The need for speed? OK, I have that out of my system, lets move on. This season EA released the next iteration in the Need for Speed series, Need for Speed Rivals. Your canvas is the majestic Redview County, which is remarkable diverse. There are snow capped mountains, twisting passes, seaside villages, freeways that are under construction and a desert / canyon. This gives you a great diversity of areas to drive, each with it's own pros and cons. Will you stick to the twisting roads and out maneuver your rival? Or will you go for the long straightaways and out run them?

The Gameslave Podcast - Episode 167

The next chapter in Sony's console library had been released. So we talk about that for a bit along with other games we have actually played.

Notes, per usual, can be found here.

PS4 Launch Video

So I was just about to type how I was waiting for my PS4 to arrive from Amazon. Then my door bell rang and it was on my front porch. After I finish up with the day job I get to break this open and check her out. In the mean time here is the Sony PS4 launch real giving us some teases on what we can expect for this system.

PS4 The Musical

Sony has recently released a new trailer. This one makes playing with your friends and attempting to end their lives as quickly as possible into a cheery musical that may make it's way to broadway (not really). Nice to see them still making interesting commercials to sell their brand, and not just a single product.

Buy on the PS3, Get it on the PS4

The thing about us gamers, is that we are an impatient bunch. Most often when a new game comes out we want to play it immediately. But we also have new consoles coming out, and we want to make sure that we have something to play on these new consoles. Too bad some of the most anticipated games of the season will come out before the new consoles are released. Sony is well aware of this and has come up with a compromise for us.

They are offering a program with four games, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghost, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Watch_Dogs. Now Watch_Dogs is a bad example of this as it comes out on the PS4 before it comes out for anything else. But Black Flag and Battlefield 4 come out on 10/29/2013 while Ghost comes out on 11/05/2013.  So if you buy any of these 4 games for the PS3, you will get a digital copy for your PS4. You don't even need a PS4 to get it setup. Instructions for this can be found at Playstation 3 to Playstation 4 Digital Upgrade Program site.

Xbox One GPU Clock Speed Increase, RAM Upgrade

Microsoft has been willing to act quickly on the feedback that they were given for the Xbox One. When people were getting upset and angry about the DRM polices and the internet connection policy, Microsoft dropped the policies for both and promise for a more open system. Now that is out the way there is one major issue that the PS4 has over the Xbox One and that my friends is the hardware specs... Let’s Talk
