Hello everybody and welcome to episode 12 of Conversations with IrishPride.  It's been a strange couple of months for me for me not playing many video games, but I do believe I am back to playing games and it's all thanks to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.  So for this episode, I'm going to give you my initial impressions to the game that got me back into gaming.
 
I, like many gamers out there, enjoy the open RPG world of the Elder Scrolls series and was eagerly anticipating Skyrim, even in my mode of not wanting to play video games.  Well, the wait is finally over and the wait was well worth it.  I pre-purchased Skyrim via Steam so I could have it pre-installed and I would get a chance to play it at 10pmMST on Thursday 11/10.  I booted up the game last night and was under way.

Elder Scrolls 2 - Free!

So it appears that The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall turned 10 yesterday.  As a present Bethesda is giving you the game for free at http://elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/.  I don't know if this is old news or new news, but since I just heard about it I felt it was worth talking about.

Just remember, when you start playing this game take note that it was made in 1996, so the graphics are going to look really dated.  As seen from this screen shot:

Daggerfall featured a massive true 3-D world the size of Great Britain and helped usher a gaming renaissance in 1996. The full version of Daggerfall is available for download and playable through a DOS emulator.

E3 in Less then a Week

So E3 is next week, and I really have not said much about it.  Some of you may think this means that I am not excited about it.  That is a lie, in truth I cannot wait for the biggest gaming convention in the states. In preparation for this people have asked me what I am looking forward to this year. My normal answer to this is everything, but giving it some thought I do have a small list.
